Mister Cee has made history. The pillar in hip-hop has opened up about his sexuality through a thoughtful PSA.
Amid the controversy that Mister Cee has been stirred in, he’s recently released a PSA through his radio station, Hot 97, to talk about his decision to open up about his sexuality.
Mister Cee PSA
In the 4-minute clip Mister Cee, a pillar in the hip-hop commununity, opens up about his sexuality, the right to sexual freedom, and being sexually healthy.
Mister Cee spoke candidly about how he struggled with the decision to come out after being kicked out of the closet after one of his latest sexual encounters was caught on tape and made public.
“The decision I made this week to open up about my sexuality has definitely been the most difficult thing that I have ever had to do in my life,” the legendary DJ says. “But I felt like this was the time for me to do it personally and professionally. For me, I felt worried about how my family would be effected, how my coworkers and my friends and even my fans would be effected by this decision because in this hip-hop community of ours, it’s not cool to be gay.”
Thank you Mister Cee for opening up your heart and mind.
