It’s been 23 days since Avonte Oquendo went missing. The NYPD says they have no new leads but the search continues for the autistic boy who’s image has been ingrained in the city’s psyche.
“A lot of people from the Police Department are emotionally involved,” NYPD Chief of Department Philip Banks 3rd said Sunday at the Long Island City school where the teen was last seen Oct. 4.
“I would like to think he is still alive,” Banks said at the Center Boulevard School. “We are still going forth like he is still alive.”
