Legendary rapper Prodigy dead at 42
Unheard Voices has learned hip-hop legend, Prodigy, of the rap group Mobb Deep has passed away in Las Vegas. He was 42 years old.
Unheard Voices has learned hip-hop legend, rapper Prodigy, of the rap group Mobb Deep has passed away.
Rapper Prodigy Dead
His publicist confirmed that Prodigy was hospitalized a few days ago in Las Vegas after a Mobb Deep performance for complications caused by sickle cell anemia. The exact cause of death has not been determined, his publicist said.
Prodigy, real name Albert Johnson, and his rap partner, Havoc, formed Mobb Deep in NYC in the early ’90s. Their biggest hits include “Quiet Storm” and “Shook Ones.”
He was 42. Rest in peace Prodigy.
