On August 12, white nationalists and neo-Nazis traveled to Charlottesville, Virginia to participate in the “Unite the Right” rally.
By that night, a car plowed into protesters, injuring many and killing three people—including Heather Heyer.
“VICE News Tonight” correspondent Elle Reeve went behind the scenes with white nationalist leaders, as well as counter-protesters, as the day now stands as a historic tragedy in racism and terror.
