Classroom Close-Up: Why Not Use Kylo Ren And Darth Vader!
During the filming of the Ghana session for Classroom Close-up, I had two of my students hold the helmets of Kylo Ren and Darth Vader

During the filming of the Ghana session for Classroom Close-up, I had two of my students hold the helmets of Kylo Ren and Darth Vader. You may ask why was that done. It was done to bring the imagination out for the science segment of the Ghana session.
Kylo Ren and Darth Vader
For the filming of the television show, I had a math, social studies, and science segment. Since Kylo Ren and Darth Vader belong to science fiction why not use their helmets as the opening doors to the science segment.
In addition, without the subject of science, you would not have these creations from Star Wars. What else was good about this was that the students at the MLK and Ghana could all relate to these characters.
Comparisons
Besides the science segment, I used Kylo Ren and Darth Vader for numerous comparisons during my history classes. For instance, I compared Xerxes of Persia to Kylo Ren while comparing Darth Vader to Napoleon Bonaparte. This made learning history fun because you were taking things students could relate to and tying it to the history they had to learn.
When you look at the picture above, it catches the imagination of the word science. Even though they belong to science fiction, without science like I said before these characters would not have been created. Even Thanos who I compared Cornwallis with, needed the subject of science to exist.
