Gregory and Travis McMichael Arrested For The Murder of Ahmaud Arbery
Gregory McMichael, 64, and Travis McMichael, 34, have been arrested for the murder of Ahmaud Arbery, says the Georgia Bureau of Investigation.

Gregory McMichael, 64, and Travis McMichael, 34, have been arrested for the murder of Ahmaud Arbery. According to the Georgia Bureau of Investigation, they were both charged with murder and aggravated assault.
The killing
Ahmaud Arbery, 25, was jogging in a neighborhood outside Brunswick, Georgia, on February 23 when he was chased down by former police officer Gregory McMichael and his son Travis McMichael who were armed, authorities said.
Arbery was shot after struggling with the Travis over his shotgun, according to a Glynn County Police report. The former officer later told responding officers that he thought Arbery looked like a suspect in a series of nearby break-ins, the report said.

The McMichael’s were taken into custody and will be booked into the Glynn County Jail.
A press conference will be held Friday May 8th at 9am in Brunswick, GA, says the Georgia Bureau of Investigation.
