Influencer and meme queen Nenobia Washington, also known as “The Queen of Brooklyn,” has died. She was 38.
Influencer and meme queen Nenobia Washington, also known as “The Queen of Brooklyn,” and “BKTIDALWAVE” has died. She was 38.
Washington appears to have fallen to her death from a building in Hamilton Heights, Manhattan, according to authorities.
NYPD officers found a woman — later identified as Washington — “unconscious and unresponsive” in front of a building on the evening of Oct. 30, PEOPLE reported.
She was taken to a nearby hospital, TMZ reported, where she was pronounced dead.
A cause of death will be determined by the Medical Examiner. The investigation is ongoing.

Washington first went viral in 2015, after HotNewHitHop posted a video of her going on an epic rant about Hillary Clinton, Jay-Z, and ISIS.
A series of Instagram Live videos where she danced to Doja Cat’s song “Cyber Sex” also went viral according to Paper Magazine.
GoFundMe
David Jackson, the father of Washington’s son, has organized a GoFundMe to raise money for funeral costs. Extra money will also be used to help him take care of their son
“Nenobia brought laughter and tears,” Jackson wrote in a message shared on the online fundraiser. “She was loved by many so we are going to make it as nice as we can for her.”

TIDAL — JAY-Z’s streaming service, shared a tribute after learning of her death.

Fans took to social media to remember Washington.
“RIP BKTidalWave please share to support her family,” wrote YouTube star Jackie Aina, who shared a link to the GoFundMe.
Added another fan, “Rest In Peace Nenobia aka BKTIDALWAVE aka Queen Of Brooklyn, she will be missed by all of us. Her funny and bright spirit will live on forever.”
