Jussie Smollett is under 24/7 surveillance, according to the actor’s brother Jocqui Smollett.

Jocqui Smollett shares video

In a video posted to Jussie Smollett’s Instagram page, Jocqui revealed that his brother is being held in the psychiatric ward in the Cook County Jail.

Jocqui said:

“What’s very concerning — is that there was a note attached to his paperwork today …saying that he’s at risk of self harm. I want to make it clear that he is in no way, shape, or form at risk of self harm.”

Jocqui also asked for support in bringing attention to Jussie’s jail sentence.

Sentence

As reported, Jussie is currently serving 150 days in jail as part of his 30 month probation sentence for allegedly faking a hate crime in 2019. He must also pay $120,000 in restitution & $25,000 fines to the city of Chicago.

Smollett believes race played a factor in his jail sentence telling his attorneys he predicted the outcome.

Recently, former Kansas City police detective Eric Devalkenaere was convicted of murdering a Black man in his own driveway and was sentenced to 6 years in jail. A judge ruled DeValkenaere can stay out of jail while he appeals his sentence.

Disagree with whether Jussie is guilty or not, but the Smolletts have a point.
