6 people who have been missing since August could be in cult
The four adults, who have two kids with them, appear to have ties to the cult led by Rashad Jamal, a former rapper who is serving an 18-year prison sentence in Georgia for child molestation.
Six people known as the Missing 6, who went missing from the St. Louis area, are believed to be affiliated with a convicted man’s alleged cult.
Six missing people may be in cult
According to KSDK-TV, Berkeley Police Department investigators ascertain that the six missing victims are followers of Rashad Jamal, a social media influencer who is currently in prison in Georgia for child molestation and other crimes.
Missing 6 names
In August of 2022, Ma’Kayla Wickerson and her 3-year-old daughter Malaiyah Wickerson left their home in St. Louis County and disappeared.
Two others, Gerrielle German and her 3-year-old child, Ashton Mitchell, went missing from Mississippi.
Twenty-five-year-old Mikayla Thompson and 30-year-old Naaman Williams are also believed to be in the alleged cult.
KTVI-TV reports the six of them were reportedly last known to be living in Wickerson’s house close to the St. Louis International Airport prior to their disappearance in August.
Family and police are concerned
Wickerson’s mother, Cartisha Morgan, told KTVI her daughter quit her job and ran all her credit cards up to the limit not long before she vanished.
She said, “Mental illness is real. Manipulation is real.”
Berkeley Police Major Steve Runge has been investigating the group’s disappearance for nearly five months now.
The six were last seen at a Quality Inn in Florissant, about 18 miles north of downtown St. Louis, Runge said. They stayed there from Aug. 2 to Aug. 6 of last year, he said.
According to KFVS-TV, Jamal, whose real name is Rashad White, founded The College of Cosmic Intelligence, which is reportedly a religious group he created online.
Runge told KTVI, neighbors saw the six “worshipping the sun” in the yard on a daily basis. If it rained, they “would come outside naked and run around the yard. They were digging up things in the yard.”
According to authorities, the group believes in polygamy, is anti-government, and encourages followers to go off the grid. But with no signs of these six people in months, their families now fear the worst.
Anyone with information about the group’s disappearance is asked to contact the Berkeley Police Department.

She has since started a GoFundMe campaign to help the family with expenses and search efforts while they remain in Puerto Rico.
“Samuel’s mother and I are trying to get as much resources and help as we can because we will not give up hope in finding our Samuel. Please, anything anyone can help with would be most appreciated.”
In addition to donations, the family asks the public for prayers and love during this “devastating and heart aching time.”
“We are firm believers in God as Samuel is too and we have faith that he will be found. Thank you for your support!”
