Update: According to reports, New Jersey missing teen Payton Cox has been safely located.

Police has asked for the public’s help in finding a New Jersey teen who has been missing since last Sunday.

Missing New Jersey teen Payton Cox details

On Feb. 16 at 2:20 p.m., 15-year-old Payton Payton Cox left her Neptune Township home and hasn’t been seen by her family since then.

Cox is described as 5 feet, 8 inches tall, and was last seen wearing black and red checkered pants, black shoes, a white zip-up hoodie and a dark colored jacket, carrying a black backpack, police said.

She was last seen boarding a train at 9:30pm at Long Branch train station purportedly heading to Newark Penn Station to possibly meet an individual.

Cox could still be in the Newark-New York area.

Information on the case

The FBI, state police and NYPD are all involved in the search.

Anyone with information regarding her location is asked to contact the NTPD at (732) 988-8000 ext. 432 or call 9-1-1.
