The Afrobeats track follows his October solo release “Orobo” which earned over 4 million streams on Spotify.
Since his 2021 debut, the Nigerian hit maker has gained more than 100 million streams across multiple platforms.
“For You” blends smooth rhythms with heartfelt lyrics. The song expresses Khaid’s devotion to a love interest and his willingness to do whatever it takes to keep her smiling.
Known for his emotional depth and relatable lyrics, Khaid delivers the track with silk-like vocals and romantic storytelling.
Speaking about the inspiration behind the song, Khaid said: “For you is inspired by love circles that go around in my everyday life. I was inspired by how love can be sweet now and just go all sour in less than a minute. Also the assurance in love, like if I am there for you are you going to be there for me?”
