Stop The Violence Peace Rally In Trenton, NJ
Concerned citizens, activists, and peacekeepers from all over came to support the “Stop The Violence Peace Rally”.
Hundreds of concerned citizens, activists, and peacekeepers came to support the “Stop The Violence Peace Rally” held at the Lighthouse Outreach Ministry today in light of the recent tragedy of the gang-rape of a 7-year-old Trenton girl . Even Russell Simmons came to support and talked about his involvement with the Peackeepers.
Stop The Violence Peace Rally
Speeches were powerfully moving as one speaker, Positive Force , ended his speech with “We have the power to take back our community.” You can see the passionate concern within the people’s eyes, and how they really want to make changes within the community.
The rally was peaceful with a few concession stands and small activities for the children. It was held by the PeaceKeepers and members of Greater Life.
Incident
A 15-year-old girl was charged and is being held in a juvenile detention center. The two adults and the three minors have been charged with sexual assault on the young child.
Mayor Palmer met with the 7-year-old girl and her family and offered counseling and assistant if they wished to relocate to another part of N.J.
