Petition started for Aiyana Jones
Attorney Geoffrey Fieger is accusing Detroit, MI police of attempting to cover up the murder of Aiyana Jones.
According to Metro Talk, attorney Geoffrey Fieger is accusing Detroit, MI police of attempting to cover up the murder of Aiyana Jones.
Is Detroit Police trying to cover up Aiyana Jones murder?
Fieger, currently has two lawsuits filed against Detroit Police Department on behalf of seven-year-old Aiyana Jones family. Jones, was murdered during a police raid trying to find the killer of Jerean Blake.
During a radio interview, Fieger, accused the police department of trying to cover up the truth on what happened by not releasing video footage. Fieger announced on May 17th he reviewed video footage of the shooting that “shows clearly that the assistant police chief and the officers on the scene are engaging in an intentional cover-up of the events.”
“It shows this in the video. There’s a gentleman by the name of Mr. Robinson who lives in the home. He was out walking his dogs when they arrived. They took him and threw him to the ground and stood on his neck. He said, ‘There are children living in the home. There are children in the home.’ And just after that they walk up on the porch and throw an incendiary grenade into it. So it’s worse than even you know.”
Petition
However, the police has yet to release any tapes from crew of The First 48 and any other tapes from the night. In response, a petition was started on May 18th to pressure Detroit Police to release the video.
