Catch Katina’s Killer – Facebook Page Created By Police To Help Find Suspect

Suffolk, Virginia Police Department is asking the public’s help to find a woman’s killer and are using Facebook to do it.
Katina Jones, 31, was found dead in her Crowdy Boulevard apartment Sunday when her child’s father came to the house because he was unable to get in touch with her.
The Suffolk Police Department created a Facebook page to help find Katina’s killer. The page has details about the crime, along with a photo of Jones, and a photo of the main suspect Larry O’Neal (pictured right).
Police have active warrants on O’Neal, who is wanted for credit card theft, credit card fraud, and obtaining money by false pretenses. No warrants have been filed for murder. However, the police has evidence the suspect used Katina’s credit card after she was murdered. He is considered a person of interest.
On Tuesday, O’Neal was believed to have been traveling by bus to Houston, Texas, possibly using the name Jamil Jones, city spokeswoman Debbie George said.
Officials have not released Jones’ cause of death.
Last Month, Jones and O’Neal conversed through Facebook about his request for a ride home from a greyhound bus station in Norfolk. O’Neal was hoping volunteers would help him and Jones responded.
George said Jones and O’Neal knew each other as teenagers growing up in Portsmouth. They recently reconnected on Facebook.
Anyone who has information is asked to call Crime Line at 1-888-LOCK-U-UP. Callers to Crime Line never have to give their names or appear in court, and may be eligible for a reward of up to $1,000. Anyone who spots him outside of the area is asked to contact their local law enforcement agency.
