Loc Journey: Tenth Month
As I find myself within my tenth month of this Loc Journey, I find myself engulfed within transition, which refers to me as a human being and my hair.

As I enter into my tenth month of this Loc Journey, I find myself engulfed within transition, which refers to me as a human being and my hair. My hair has gone through the motions of what dreadlocks go through, and I’ve reached the journey in which each strand is beginning to become uniform. The frizziness that appeared is becoming controlled, and the look is becoming more polished in existence. Each lock has taken on a sort a personality of its own, with the way it lays or the subtle twist or bend in it.

Where there’s life, there is death. That is what we as humans aren’t for certain about in our life journeys. When you are younger you don’t really give mortality any significant thought, because of the place and space you find yourself in that point. People transcend to the other side, you mourn and go on the next day. But as you age, there is a shift that begins to happen and you begin to pay more attention to these events as they seem to be endless in nature. You begin to see people differently and contemplate a future that will not include them and how that will affect you as a human being.
Transitions in life are not easy and there is a certain amount of change that is involved, which you may or may not approve of. Nevertheless, they happen and how you react to them is the most important. Take them in stride and embrace the change, for it sometimes can’t be helped and will allow you to grow as a person in this life. It will shape your world differently, but in the end it will add something to it. You may not realize that now as you are within the process, but in the end the answer will be revealed.
