According to reports, Harper had been struggling with serious health issues over the years as he suffered from diabetes.

Distinguished radio career

Harper was described as having an amazing voice and was known to be a humble gentleman and always quick to smile give a complement or just talk!

According to Radio Facts, he was honored by friends and colleagues last Fall to show their support and love for him.
