Comedian and actor Ricky Harris dead at 54
Comedian and actor Ricky Harris best known as Malvo from Everybody Hates Chris has passed away reportedly from a heart attack. He was 54 years old.
We are saddened to report the passing of comedian and actor Ricky Harris, who many best remember as his role as Malvo on Every Body Hates Chris.

Reports and friends confirm Harris passed away from a heart attack at age 54.
The son of a preacher, Harris grew up in Long Beach along with childhood friend and rapper Snoop Dogg. The two sang in their church choir.
Career
Harris’ first movie role was in the 1993 drama “Poetic Justice,” starring Janet Jackson and Tupac Shakur. He was also known for voicing characters that appear in Hip Hop albums, including several by Snoop Dogg, and appearing in Tales From The Hood.
In 1993, Harris starred with Todd Hunter in the single episode of 357 Marina del Rey produced for the television series Danger Theatre, playing private detective Clay Gentry.
From 1996 to 1998 he played the role of Javon “J. W.” Willis in six episodes of the UPN situation comedy Moesha.
In the 2001 film Bones, Harris played alongside Snoop Dogg and Pam Grier.
In 2004, Harris lent his voice to various characters in the video game Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas. He played the role of Cousin Fred in the movie “This Christmas” in 2007. From 2006 to 2008, Harris played Malvo, a recurring character in the sitcom Everybody Hates Chris.
