Project Ghana
Special Summer Ghana Session: Football Professional Athlete Faustina Ampah!
Faustina Ampah, a player for FC Minsk, Belarusian women’s football team, and played in UEFA Women’s Champions League, spoke about her career.
FAUSTINA AMPAH stopped by Project Ghana for a special summer session.
Write on Sports camp through the years provided a program in which students from different schools develop their writing skills by covering all different aspects of sports.
For instance, those who attend the camp could cover current events regarding a sporting event, a sport’s history or culture, and even have the chance to interview a professional athlete.
Through the years Oiada International had been providing the opportunity for the Asbury Park School District to participate in live video conferencing with students in Ghana.
Students from both ends shared lessons, culture, history, and guests which ranged from Veterans of Foreign Wars to Politicians and musicians.
Just recently Write on Sports camp, led by Dr. Alex Romagnoli and Mrs. Vaccarelli, had the privilege, through Mr. David Wronko, of teaming up with Oiada International to conduct a special Ghana session.
This Ghana session had professional football player Faustina Ampah as its guest. Also attending this session were students from Monmouth University and Asbury Park High School.
The session began with Papa Williams, lead teacher for the Solid Rock Foundation School in Ghana, giving a presentation about the continent of Africa and the history and culture of Ghana.
Once his presentation got into the realm of sports and the topic of football (soccer), he turned it over to FAUSTINA AMPAH.

Faustina Ampah, a player for FC Minsk, Belarusian women’s football team, and played in UEFA Women’s Champions League, women’s association football international competition, spoke about her career in the sport.
She also talked about the training that was required to be able to compete in football which consisted of many hours of cardio and strength training.
Ampah explained that she would train two times a day, once in the morning and then in the evening.
She would train four to five hours at a time to make herself physically fit to compete in intensive competition.
Furthermore, she spoke about how she would mentally prepare for a game which would consist of plenty of rest and mediation.
She also informed everyone how important it was to rest so that she could stay focused.
Faustina Ampah’s most important point she wanted for everyone to know was that to be successful all comes down to hard work and training.
