Irving donated $65,000 to the family’s GoFundMe page. The NBA superstar made his contribution with two separate payments of $50,000 and $15,000.

The family created the fundraiser to seek assistance in covering funeral expenses and legal fees as they aim to find justice for their loved one.

What happened

Robinson traveled to the resort city of San Jose del Cabo, Mexico, on Oct. 28 with six friends to celebrate one of their birthdays. Less than 24 hours later she was dead.

Robinson’s associates claimed she died of alcohol poisoning, but the death certificate from the Mexican government contradicts this statement as it reveals a broken neck and cracked spine and a time of death, which is 15 minutes after she sustained these injuries.

After the death certificate was released, a new video surfaced online showing Robinson being assaulted.

Given these new revelations, the State Attorney General’s Office in Mexico is now investigating the mysterious death as a homicide, specifically a femicide . The FBI has also opened an investigation.

Shanquella Robinson’s celebration of life took place Saturday, in her hometown of Charlotte at Macedonia Baptist Church.
