Beat The Streets Program At The Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Middle School
Recently the Beat the Streets Program came to the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Middle School, exposing to students to live performances by wrestlers.

Just recently the Beat the Streets Program came to the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Middle School.
Students got to witness Asbury Park School District’s wrestlers give live performances.
Below reads a summary provided by wrestling coach, Alexander Provenza.
The Beat the Streets Program was started by John Welsch and John Leonardis.
They brought the program to Asbury Park. Jeff Condit has taken over as the Beat The Streets coordinator for Asbury Park and I work with him to get everything running for the program.
I (Coach: Alexander Provenza, teacher and wrestling coach at Asbury Park High School) have been the wrestling coach for 4 years straight now and have been very successful. Mr. Ardizzone and I have placed in New Jersey states for wrestling two years straight because of the program. Quanizja Legagneur placed 4th in the states last year as a sophomore at 100 pounds for the girls. Davenson Joinvilmar has set a record in the High School for most wins as a freshman. Jamesly Cagilus was my first undefeated wrestler last year and Tyron Bailey placed first in the white division tournament last year too. Coach Andre Hayman is a volunteer and he has boosted the recruitment to a new level this year. He has made shirts to give out to kids that are interested in wrestling for this upcoming school year.
My hat goes off to this program and Coach Provenza!
