Two men and one woman are currently in custody in connection with the killing of Jersey City couple Nia Haqq, 25, and Michael Muchioki, 27.
Killing of Jersey City couple
Nia Haqq and Michael Muchioki, were robbed and shot to death in front of their home in Jersey City, NJ after coming home from their engagement party at Delta’s Lounge in New Brunswick, NJ.
Attempted Car Jacking Gone Wrong
The Hudson County’s Prosecutor’s Office says the killing stemmed from an attempted car jacking gone wrong.
According to the Jersey Journal, prosecutor Edward DeFazio stated the killers arrived in another car, attempting to steal the couple’s 2010 Honda CR-V, but failed because of an anti-theft device.
The three people in custody are expected to be charged some time today.
