It is day 14 of the infamous George Zimmerman trial and Rachel Jeantel, Trayvon Martin’s friend is back on the stand. Rachel Jeantel was the last person to speak with Trayvon Martin before he died.
Trayvon Martin’s friend takes the stand
On the second day of the George Zimmerman trial, Jeantel testified that she believed race was a factor in her friend’s death. Jeantel said Martin told her he was being followed by a white man, or to quote her “a creepy white cracker”.
“He was being followed,” Jeantel said.
Jeantel is one of the prosecution’s most important witnesses because she bolsters the contention that Zimmerman was the aggressor. She was on the phone with Martin moments before he was fatally shot.
