Fruitvale Station, the award-winning film about the last days of Oscar Grant will be released in select theaters July 12th.

‘Fruitvale Station’ starring Michael B. Jordan, Octavia Spencer, and Melonie Daiz chronicles the last days of Grant’s life. Oscar Grant III was shot in the back by a BART transit police officer in Oakland, CA after being arrested.

Fruitvale Station, named after the station he was killed, highlights Oscar Grant as a father, brother, lover, son… yet another victim of police brutality.

The award-winning film will be released in select theaters July 12th.
