Eddie Levert’s daughter passes after battle with Lupus
Ryan Levert, the youngest daughter of iconic O’Jays lead singer Eddie Levert, passed away at just 22 years young after a courageous battle with Lupus.

Eddie Levert, the iconic lead singer of The O’Jays, is mourning the loss of his youngest daughter, Ryan Levert, who passed away at just 22 years young.

Ryan’s death follows a courageous battle with lupus, a chronic autoimmune disease that causes inflammation and can affect major organs in the body.

Levert’s grandchildren LeMicah and Carlysia Levert confirmed the death of their late aunt in an Instagram post that has since been deleted.
Ryan is Levert’s third child to have passed away following the death of Levert’s son Gerald who died of a heart attack in 2006, and the death of Levert’s son Sean who died of an illness in 2008.
She is the daughter of Eddie Levert and his second wife, Raquel Capelton.
Levert, 82, has not formally commented on the untimely death of his daughter.
Though Ryan Levert was not very active on Instragram, she shared a post at the start of 2024 with her hopes for the new year.
“Happy 2024, praying for good health, more love, and more laughter,” the Instagram post reads.
