GoFundMe launches verified fundraiser hub to aid Texas flood victims
GoFundMe has launched a dedicated hub of verified fundraiser relief to support victims and their families.

In response to the Central Texas flooding over the July 4th weekend, GoFundMe has launched a dedicated hub of verified fundraisers relief to support victims and their families.
With more than 90 lives lost and hundreds displaced, the platform is working to ensure that donations reach those who need them most—safely and transparently.
About GoFundMe Texas Flood Relief Hub for victims
The GoFundMe Texas Flood Relief Hub is curated by the company’s Trust & Safety team, which rigorously vets each campaign to confirm legitimacy.
“Our hearts are with the families and communities devastated by the Texas floods,” said a GoFundMe spokesperson.
“We’re committed to making sure every dollar donated goes to verified individuals and organizations on the ground.”
How it Works
- Each fundraiser is reviewed to confirm the organizer’s identity, their connection to the beneficiary, and the intended use of funds.
- Donations are held until the recipient’s identity is verified, ensuring funds are not misused.
- Donors are protected with a refund policy in the rare event of misuse.
How You Can Help
- Donate directly to verified campaigns via the GoFundMe Texas Flood Relief Hub.
- Share the hub on social media to amplify visibility and support.
- Start a certified fundraiser for a nonprofit or family in need, following GoFundMe’s verification guidelines.
As Texas begins the long road to recovery, GoFundMe’s verified hub offers a trusted way for people across the country to stand in solidarity with affected communities.
