Rapper Cannon Cobain releases new album ‘Living Legend’
South Jersey rapper Cannon Cobain has released a new nine‑track album titled “Living Legend”, marking the latest chapter in his independent catalog.
GLASSBORO, N.J. — South Jersey rapper Cannon Cobain has released a new nine‑track album titled “Living Legend”, marking the latest chapter in his independent catalog. The project is out now on major streaming platforms.
Cannon Cobain’s “Living Legend” Marks New Phase
Cobain, born Donte L. Rhodes, began writing short stories before turning to rap at 16. His team says that early storytelling still shapes his music, which leans on scene, consequence and memory. The new album moves through themes of arrival, pressure, ambition and reflection.
The nine‑track release includes:
- “Intro,”
- “Hood Shake”
- “Blow Quick”
- “Hating on Me”
- “Like You”
- “Play In It”
- “Back to the Money”
- “Fly In”
- “Outro.”
Cobain frames “Living Legend” as a challenge rather than a trophy, asking what it takes to build legacy before the industry agrees.
South Jersey Identity at the Center
Cobain says his sound blends modern East Coast luxury‑street hip‑hop with hard drums, low‑end pressure and open space. His EPK describes “ROC‑era confidence without imitation” and a South Jersey identity that does not borrow from Philadelphia or New York.
The rapper’s catalog includes earlier releases such as Gravity, V.V.S., Gang Sauce, No Limit, and Build and Destroy.
