Houston artist 4 Bow Arrow has released a new single titled “Thru the Roof,” featuring fellow Houston rapper OTB Fastlane. The track is the first official release under REVOLT’s 440 Records.
Collaboration Formed Through Producer
“Thru the Roof” produced by Iceman Chamberlain, follows 4 Bow Arrow’s earlier single “No Matter What,” which introduced his transition from professional basketball to music.
Artist Reflects on NBA Career and Music Path
4 Bow Arrow, also known as Danuel House Jr., previously played in the NBA. He said one challenge has been getting listeners to separate his music career from his basketball background. According to his biography, he approaches music with the same mindset he used in basketball: improve, stay versatile and let the work speak for itself.
In May, House appeared on the “Out The Mud Podcast,” where he discussed his NBA career, playing with Jaylen Brown and recording music while still in the league. Speaking about becoming an artist, he said, “The undrafted process, growing up on the block, seeing stuff — everything just transitioned over to music behind the mic because it’s like we’re entertainers.”
He added, “It’s a lot of talented dudes in the NBA, and they only see us as basketball players. I’m just here to tell the world we are more than just basketball players. We’re more than athletes.” House said fans may see more players branch into entertainment, including acting.
Influences and Creative Approach
House cites Houston’s sound, car culture and independent tradition as key influences. His biography lists Scarface, Z‑Ro, Slim Thug, Paul Wall, UGK and Young Dolph among the artists who shaped his musical perspective. He said his creative process focuses on feeling and real‑time experiences, with themes including growth, loyalty, family and setbacks.
More Music Planned Under 440 Records
His team said more singles, projects, collaborations, visuals and touring are planned as he continues developing his catalog under 440 Records.
“Thru the Roof” is available on major streaming platforms here.
