Daughter reveals what surveillance footage showed before missing NYC grandma Alisa Goods was found dead
Goods, 63, plunged down an embankment near Las Vegas’ Harry Reid International Airport on Aug. 8 and wasn’t found until 12 days later when a homeless man spotted her body.
New surveillance footage shows New York grandmother Alisa Goods falling, standing again and then collapsing near an airport on Aug. 8, the same day she vanished, her daughter says.
Footage Shows Goods Collapsing Near Airport
Kristen Goods told KSNV the footage captured her 63‑year‑old mother appearing disoriented and overheated before she plunged down an embankment near Las Vegas’ Harry Reid International Airport. She said the video showed Goods throw her bag over the edge, then follow it down the slope.
Police said the footage showed Goods fall, get up and then collapse, with “no further movement observed.” Her body remained unseen from the roadway.
Unheard Voices previously reported that Goods left a friend’s apartment to go to a CVS but never returned. A homeless man found her body 12 days later in a drainage ditch near Terminal 1.
Family Says Behavior Was Out of Character
Kristen said her mother rarely walked alone in extreme heat, especially after recent leg surgeries. The family grew alarmed after receiving suspicious texts from Goods’ phone asking for money and Bitcoin. They believed she did not send them.
Relatives searched hospitals, jails and morgues as days passed. They said Goods’ mobility issues and the rising temperatures made the situation even more concerning.
Her niece, Alana Calloway, said the messages felt wrong because Goods did not drive. She said the texts “took my breath away.”
Cause of Death Still Under Investigation
Authorities have not released Goods’ cause of death. The family may wait weeks for autopsy results. Police have not said whether injuries from the fall, a medical emergency or another factor led to her death.
Goods, a mother of five and grandmother of five, was visiting a longtime friend when she disappeared. Her family says her death has left “an unimaginable space.” They continue pushing for answers and want the public to remember Goods as a devoted mother and cherished New Yorker.
