Police have issued an Amber Alert following the abduction of 7-year-old Jamal White. White was allegedly taken at gunpoint outside his home on Milwaukee’s northwest side.

The incident occurred around 7:00 p.m. on Friday, July 11, near the 6200 block of West Hustis Street.

  • Victim: Jamal White, Black male, 4 feet tall, 80 lbs, short black hair, brown eyes
  • Last seen wearing: White T-shirt and black shorts
  • Suspect: Black male, wearing a black hoodie and black face mask, allegedly armed with a handgun
  • Vehicle: White Jeep Renegade SUV with unknown license plates

Surveillance Footage & Community Response

Doorbell camera footage captured the suspect vehicle pulling up moments before the child was forcibly taken.

Family members say Jamal was outside riding his bike when the suspect jumped out of the SUV and abducted him. The boy’s aunt told local media that multiple armed individuals were involved, and the child’s father was nearby returning from a park.

“We are exhausted and haven’t gotten any sleep,” Jamal’s grandmother wrote on Facebook. “Please be on the lookout for this white Jeep Renegade. Every set of eyes helps”.

The Milwaukee Police Department, in coordination with the Wisconsin Department of Justice, is actively investigating and canvassing neighborhoods. Authorities are urging residents to check security footage and report any sightings of the suspect or vehicle. The FBI Child Abduction Rapid Deployment (CARD) team may assist in the search.
