Actress Andrea Lewis best known for her work on Degrassi and her most recent web series “Black Actress“, gathered a group of intellectual, innovative women of color in the film television industry to discuss the state of black TV.

The five women of writers, actors, directors, Andrea Lewis, Issa Rae (Awkward Black Girl), Numa Perrier (Black & Sexy TV), Ashley Blaine Featherson (Hello Cupid), Lena Waithe (Dear White People), discussed black imagery, marketability, and the direction black television is going.

This is a great video that gives you a glimpse from the upcoming women of color in the film/television industry on their thoughts of the state of black television and how black women are impacted as well.
