GHANA SESSION: THREE WAY VIDEO CONFERENCE: GHANA, ARUBA, UNITED STATES

Students from the John Wesley College in Aruba joined a video conference with the students in Ghana, and the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Middle School for a session.

Aruba Ghana Session

Joining the teachers and students in Aruba was Oiada International’s Eric Jones and Darryl Batts.

The students in Ghana were joined by Jela Caldwell and Papa Williams.

Finally, MLK students were joined by Mr. Wronko, teacher of sixth grade students.

News report introduction about their country

This session began with the students in Ghana giving a news report introduction about their country. They spoke about the food, sports, politics, environment, and overall life in Ghana. Their report was brightly colorful with images representing each segment from the project.

Video conferencing with Ghana

After their segment, Mr. Wronko explained how his students were involved with the video conferencing with Ghana for the past three years.

He also mentioned that the video conferencing with Ghana would appear on the television show Classroom Close-up.

In addition, Mr. Wronko’s students, Kahmya Bridges and Sade Carson presented two projects that they were working on. Those projects were comparing the Peloponnesian War with the American Civil War and the creation and use of Roman Numerals.

Students from Aruba

Once Ghana and the students from MLK were done with their presentations, the students in Aruba introduced themselves and sang their school song. They also answered numerous questions about their culture, way of life, interests, and what they hope to achieve.
