One dead after shooting during concert on Long Branch, New Jersey beach

The incident occurred during a beachfront concert near Chelsea Avenue, where shots rang out just after 9 p.m., sending a panicked crowd scrambling for safety, reports NJ.com.
Videos circulating on social media show people running to safety across the sand while first responders rushed to aid a person lying motionless on the beach.
Investigation
Authorities have not released the identity of the deceased. Unverified reports suggest a fight may have broken out prior to the disturbance, but officials have yet to comment on the cause.
Pier Village is a popular destination along the Long Branch beachfront known for its upscale shops, restaurants, and oceanfront views.
