Jason Collins has returned to the NBA as the first active openly gay player in the league.

The NBA veteran signed a 10-day contract with the Brooklyn Nets and made his debut this past weekend against the Los Angeles Lakers. This is a monumental step in Collins career, who came out as gay last year.

Jason Collins spent the first seven years of his career with the team when it was based in New Jersey.
