Rey’s manager Vanzil Burke says he died Thursday at a Los Angeles hospital from complications after suffering a stroke.
Career
His career in show business spanned more than 30 years. Rey’s film credits include “Harlem Nights,” ”House Party 3,” ”For Da Love of Money”, “White Men Can’t Jump” and “Far Out Man.” Rey also appeared in the TV series “227,” ”Sister, Sister” and “The Parent ‘Hood.”
Rey started his career as a stand-up comedian. He opened for Redd Foxx for several years and appeared on such shows as BET’s “Comic View.”
Reynaldo Rey is survived by his wife, daughter, two sons and mother.
