A day in the life of a comedian
Barber/comedian Taj Jones tells a story from a comedian point of view day to day.
Barber/ comedian Taj Jones tells a story from a comedian point of view day to day. Now it’s Monday 2012 8pm December 17.
Today I didn’t do any stand up. But I did go to an intern work shop for a Unheard Voices Magazine. My next show will not be until Saturday at Allure Lounge in Newark, New Jersey.
It is a comedy show case put together by producer Tina Graham from New Jersey. In this showcase, I will touch on topics like: What’s hard about being short; Being a short single man; The type of ladies who do date short men; Having style at my height. Being 38 years old. And many other things about myself that describes the type of comedian that I am.
But I have to explain how much I love music, cutting hair , making my patrons laugh and given them good haircuts. Then invite them to a comedy show by giving my client tickets to my show.
Now at this moment in time. I am at the height of my comedian day. I am at the Legion Post 266 in Neptune hanging out with the all the USA vets. Shout out to vets and Neptune City cab companies.
The veterans from Neptune know how to show civilians a good time with pool playing and Old school music playing in the background.
Top that with great social drinks with good old school music sparked with an old school conversation. This brings this day of life of a comedian to a personal climax.
You know how to love me is playing on the juke box as I type. But its a Tuesday in Neptune, NJ a slow night. Its 5 ladies here that includes the lady bartender with nine men here! This scene is not cool!
After finishing my peach street c-roc with pineapple juice. I call a taxi because I don’t drink and drive. I drink smart water with all my drinks. On that note I called the taxi on the Shawn “jay-z”carter and Pharell excuse me miss track.
Making my shout out to the old head at the bar with the gray mustache with NBC hat: bumping into and saying What’s up to Dick Wolf with his great story telling talent! This is one comedian that I learn a lot from his shows.
“My past is not one. I am bout to show you the cheese. I am about to jump out the window. Before I do what’s your name.” Was the last words jay -z said. Then the Tennessee Titans and New York Jets was also playing on the vizio tvs at the American legion. As I’m waited on a taxi to call my day in the life of a comedian to an end my mind could not help but to the think of those Sandy Hook victims.
“Rest in peace to the young lives lost in sandy hook CT.
