Police seek public’s help in search for missing Newark woman
Authorities said Massenburg was reported missing on Oct. 16. She was last seen on the 300-block of Mt. Prospect Avenue in Newark.

NEWARK, N.J. — Police are asking for help locating a missing North Jersey woman Monique Massenburg whose family has not heard from for six years.

On Wednesday, the Newark Department of Public Safety issued a missing persons alert for Massenburg, 59, of Newark.
Authorities said Massenburg was reported missing on Oct. 16. She was last seen on the 300-block of Mt. Prospect Avenue in Newark.
Her family told police they have not heard from her since Aug. 30, 2019. Because of the long absence, officials emphasized the urgency of the search.

Police described Massenburg as:
- 5 feet 6 inches tall
- weighing 150 pounds
- last seen wearing a green windbreaker, blue jeans, and white sneakers.
Officials urged anyone with information to contact the Police Division’s 24-hour Crime Stopper tip line at 1-877-NWK-TIPS (1-877-695-8477). Anonymous tips can also be submitted through the Police Division’s website.
