Marcel Johnson Shared His Cancer Battle With Thousands
Johnson received his stage 4 stomach cancer diagnosis in August 2025.
He subsequently began documenting his treatments, physical struggles and family moments through social media.
The Michigan father underwent 25 rounds of chemotherapy before discontinuing treatment in September 2026 he shared in a social media post.
His declining health left him too weak to continue.
However, Johnson continued searching for medical guidance.
In October, he traveled to City of Hope Medical Center in California with his wife.
He later returned home after receiving additional information about his condition.
As his health deteriorated, Johnson transitioned to hospice care.
Johnson’s final social media post, shared Oct. 25, showed him smiling beside one of his sons.
The fundraiser remains active, allowing supporters to contribute directly to the family’s needs.
