Asbury Park High School students presentations on September 11
The students conducted presentations on the horrific events that occurred and how America became a united front to stand with each other.
Guests at this event were as follows:
- VFW members Michael Lee, Kathy Bary, Denise R. Martin, Social Studies Supervisor Kimmy Taylor, VFW members Doris Richardson, Jon Keller, and Wilbur V. Martin.
Event Highlights President Obama’s Mission To Eliminate Osama bin Laden
This event also covered how President Barack Obama made it his top priority when he took office to find and eliminate Osama bin Laden. To ease the families who lost loved ones during 9/11, President Obama kept his word and gave the order to kill the mastermind behind the tragic event.
Discussion Centers on Ground Zero Health Impacts and Calls for Peace
Also this class event discussed how many individuals who worked at the site of Ground Zero or lived in that area died from cancer. Many people today who developed cancer from working at Ground Zero or lived around that area want others to be aware of what could happen when an area becomes contaminated especially the air.
In concluding this event, it was hard to believe that 25 years passed and the effects of 9/11 were still being felt today. Students and guests called for peace in the world and hopeful recovery to the victims, including today, of that horrific event.
