Black churches are reportedly being burned all over the south
At least six predominantly black churches in the Southern states have been damaged or destroyed by fire in the past week.
While some people across country are still mourning the victims of the massacre at the church in Charleston, and others are praising President Obama for singing Amazing Grace, very little attention is paid to the other Black churches being burned.

Knoxville, Tennessee
The Knoxville Fire Department said arsonists set multiple fires on the church’s property and burned the church’s van.
Charlotte, North Carolina
Arson caused a fire at Briar Creek Baptist Church in Charlotte, N.C. The fire destroyed an education wing intended for a children’s summer program and caused an estimated $250,000 in damage.
“When I did think about the possibilities of there being any ugliness behind this, I instantly start praying and just saying: ‘God, just please have mercy,'” said Co-Pastor Rhonda Kinsey in the interview to Time Warner Cable News.
Macon, Georgia
A fire damaged a church in Macon early Tuesday morning, and investigators consider the case arson.
“I’m very calm about it, I’m at peace, I don’t have any hate in my heart,” associate pastor Jeanette Dudley said. “Whoever it is, I don’t have any hate in my heart. I just know that it’s working out for our good.”
South Carolina and Florida
The FBI is still investigating a fire at the Warrenville, SC, and in Tallahassee, Fla. Early indications led officials to believe that it may have been an electrical fire.
