President Obama left Howard University 2016 graduates full of inspiration with his powerful speech as the HBCU graduates enter a new journey.

President Obama spoke about how the election hasn’t changed the society into a post-racial one despite improved race relations.

Stressing the importance for change, the President emphasized voting is “not just some of the time but all of the time.” He adds: “When we don’t vote we give away our power.”

He encouraged Howard University graduates to

“Be confident in your heritage, be confident in your blackness”
