Kierra Coles is a U.S. postal worker who was 26 years old and about three months pregnant when she went missing on Chicago’s South side on October 2, 2018.
Kierra was last seen on surveillance leaving her apartment on 81st St and Vernon Ave.
Her vehicle was located outside her apartment with her cell phone, purse, and packed lunch still inside.
Kierra’s family says it’s unlike her to disappear and not talk to her family.
Kierra Coles Description
Kierra is described as 5ft4in and 125lbs. She has Black hair and Dark Brown eyes.
She has a tattoo of a heart on her right hand and another tattoo that says “Lucky Libra” on her back.
Case
Coles’ mother, Karen Phillips, reported her missing on Oct. 4 after not hearing from her daughter and cellphone calls went directly into voicemail.
The Chicago Police Department considers Kierra Coles’ case “a high-risk missing person investigation with potential foul play suspected.”
Coles mother strongly believes her daughter’s boyfriend is linked to her disappearance. They dated for six years, and was pregnant with their child.
Police have not named him as a suspect.
“Everything goes through your mind. What if it’s this? What if it’s that? What if this has happened? What if that happened? We just don’t know,” said Coles’ mom, Karen Phillips. “To feel like your child could be harmed every day… that is torture to yourself.”
The United States Postal Inspection Service and the FBI are both working with the Chicago police on the case.
“Since October 2018, Postal Inspectors have tracked down and vetted nearly 400 leads across the country. The U.S. Postal Inspection Service distributed thousands of reward flyers,” the Postal Inspection Service said.
“Kierra Coles is a member of our Postal family and we will continue looking for her and following up on all leads,” the agency continued.

The U.S. Postal Inspection Service offered a $25,000 reward and Kierra’s family offered a $45,000 reward for information about Coles’ disappearance.
