GoFundMe launches verified giving hub to boost food access and emergency aid
The platform’s latest initiative makes it easier for donors to discover, support, and share trusted campaigns.
GoFundMe has unveiled a new centralized hub to streamline support for verified fundraisers and nonprofits addressing food insecurity.
About GoFundMe hub for food access
The platform’s latest initiative makes it easier for donors to discover, support, and share trusted campaigns. Whether stocking food pantries, funding mobile food banks, or delivering meals, the GoFundMe community is stepping up.
From October through December, GoFundMe.org has pledged to distribute at least $350,000 in direct cash grants. These grants will help individuals and families cover essential expenses like groceries, utilities, and rent.
Essentials Fund
The funds come from the Essentials Fund, a donor-supported initiative focused on urgent needs. Contributions to the fund will enable even more grants before year’s end.
Trusted campaigns
To maintain trust, GoFundMe’s Trust & Safety team verifies each fundraiser before it appears on the hub. The page will continue to update as new campaigns are approved.
The hub also encourages users to share fundraisers across social media, expanding reach and impact. GoFundMe’s Giving Guarantee ensures donors receive a full refund if misuse is detected.
GoFundMe hub for food access efforts
This effort builds on GoFundMe’s broader mission to connect people in need with those willing to help. In recent months, similar hubs have supported communities affected by natural disasters and public emergencies.
For those seeking to make a difference this season, the verified hub offers a safe, effective way to give back.
Visit the GoFundMe Essentials Fund hub to donate or share verified campaigns today.
