Exclusive: Marvel releases the trailer for film “Ironheart”
Set after the events of “Black Panther: Wakanda Forever,” Marvel Television’s “Ironheart” pits technology against magic when Riri Williams (Thorne), determined to make her mark on the world, returns to her hometown of Chicago.
Marvel Television has unveiled the official trailer for Ironheart, set to debut exclusively on Disney+ on June 24.
Dominique Thorne, who stars as Riri Williams, described the film as a unique opportunity to explore the character’s evolution. “After bringing Riri to life in Wakanda, we had an amazing opportunity to follow that up with a deep dive into her origin story,” Thorne said. “We’re not necessarily going back in time; it’s more about catching up and seeing how those first pivotal moments shaped her.”
Synopsis
Set after the events of “Black Panther: Wakanda Forever,” Marvel Television’s “Ironheart” pits technology against magic when Riri Williams (Thorne), determined to make her mark on the world, returns to her hometown of Chicago. Her unique take on building iron suits is brilliant, but in pursuit of her ambitions, she finds herself wrapped up with the mysterious yet charming Parker Robbins aka “The Hood” (Anthony Ramos).
Ironheart also stars Lyric Ross, Alden Ehrenreich, Regan Aliyah, Manny Montana, Matthew Elam, and Anji White.
The series is written by Chinaka Hodge and directed by Sam Bailey and Angela Barnes. Kevin Feige, Louis D’Esposito, Brad Winderbaum, Zoie Nagelhout, Chinaka Hodge, Ryan Coogler, Sev Ohanian, and Zinzi Coogler serve as executive producers.
