Family pleads for answers after New Jersey man went missing after leaving hospital
The 21-year-old was last seen on Feb. 27, 2025, fleeing Inspira Medical Center in Woodstown during what may have been a mental health crisis.

WOODSTOWN, N.J. — Eight months after Kevin Lamonte Collins Jr. vanished from a South Jersey hospital, his family refuses to give up. The 21-year-old was last seen on Feb. 27, 2025, fleeing Inspira Medical Center in Woodstown during what may have been a mental health crisis.
The disappearance of Kevin Collins Jr.
Accordimg to reports, earlier that day, Kevin called police from Alloway Township, reporting paranoia and fear that someone was following him. Officers evaluated him and transported him to the hospital. Around 4 p.m., Kevin exited through a back door, leaving behind his phone, keys, and shoes.
Surveillance footage later captured Kevin walking unclothed into nearby woods near Griscom Drive in Mannington Township. That remains the last confirmed sighting.
Despite extensive searches using K9 units, drones, and dive teams, authorities have found no additional clues. In April, a bloodhound picked up a scent near Harris Road, but it disappeared near a waterway.
Kevin’s mother led the search since day one. She created a Facebook page to share updates and organize search efforts. She’s posted flyers, spoken with neighbors, and pushed for expanded investigations.
Kevin Collins Jr Description
Kevin stands 5 feet 5 inches tall and weighs 115 pounds. He has black hair, brown eyes, and a gentle smile that his family longs to see again.
GoFundMe campaign to support search efforts
To support ongoing efforts, a GoFundMe campaign has been launched. The fundraiser aims to cover search costs, legal fees, and a reward for credible information. “Tinisha has poured everything into finding Kevin,” Michelle wrote. “She needs her community more than ever.”
The campaign also encourages people to share Kevin’s story and sign a petition demanding more action. Every donation helps sustain the search and keep hope alive.
Ongoing Investigation
Anyone with information is urged to contact the New Jersey State Police Troop A Woodstown Station at (856) 769-0775 or the Missing Persons Unit at (609) 882-2000 ext. 2554.
Kevin’s family continues to pray for answers. They hope someone, somewhere, knows something.
