SWV returns with new album I Missed Us
SWV released a hot single in late 2011, entitled Co-Sign, giving fans a taste on what they can expect from the album. Although they have been touring and doing features, their last studio album was released in 1997. It is great to see them back.
About the award winning R&B group
SWV is an American R&B vocal trio from New York City, New York. The members are Cheryl Gamble, Tamara Johnson and Leanne Lyons. Formed in 1988 as a gospel group, SWV became one of the most successful R&B groups of the 1990s.
After getting their demo together, their manager at the time, Maureen Singleton sent out demo tapes along with bottles of Perrier.
“We couldn’t afford champagne”, says Taj to catch the attention of record execs all over America.
In 1991, after being invited to sing in front of RCA, SWV was signed to an eight-album record deal.
