Singer-songwriter Jared Cotter is well on his way
Grammy nominated singer/songwriter and television personality Jared Cotter is well on his way.
Jared Cotter is definitely a man on the move and is cultivating his way through the entertainment industry.
About Jared Cotter
Jared is one of the four featured artists of the month picked out of thousands with our partnership with Reverbnation, and it’s well deserved.
The New York Native is a Pop/R&B singer, Grammy nominated songwriter, A&R Executive, model and Emmy Nominated TV Host.
His face may resonate with you as he was a contestant on the popular music contest show American Idol.
Jared Cotter on American Idol
After beating out thousands of talented singers from all over the country in American Idol auditions, he weekly impressed and dazzled the audience, finding himself in the semi finals and eventually landing the 13th overall spot. His time on American Idol proved he’s a force to be reckoned with.
Along with millions of people, television executives at The Fuse Network were watching as well. They took note of his quick wit, sparring with Simon Cowell and Paula Abdul and brought him in to screen test. He soon landed the Co-Host spot on the daily music and pop culture show, The Sauce, next the dating game show, You Rock Lets Roll, and also Fuse’s No. 1 Countdown, showcasing the best and newest music videos of the time.
He’s interviewed hundreds of A Listers including Denzel Washington, Queen Latifah, Kim Kardashian, and Ryan Reynolds, to name a few.
Jared Cotter Becomes A Correspondent
Jared was then called in by Fox TV’s Good Day New York as a weekly correspondent during later seasons of American Idol, and The MSG Varsity channel brought him on board to host The Challenge, a fast moving Jeaopardy style academic show for High School students all across the New York Tri-State Area, for which he received an Emmy Nomination.
Billboard Hits
Never forgetting his first love, music, he continued to write and record, and teamed up with British Pop Star Jay Sean to co-write his first #1 US Billboard Hit “Down”, which topped the charts for weeks, and for which he received an ASCAP award as a writer of one of the “Most Performed Songs” of the year. He co-wrote all of the singles from the breakthrough album, All Or Nothing, and he was later nominated for a Grammy, co-writing the hit “Where Dem Girls At” with David Guetta.
Music Beyond A Singer
Jared Cotter continues to record and write songs, his success lead to a world wide music publishing deal with EMI Music Publishing (now Sony Music Publishing), where he collaborates with other artists and song writers.
He also serves as an A&R Consultant for Atlantic Records, helping to identify new talent and hit records.
Jared Cotter is well on his way and I’m sure a face you’ll see around for years to come. You can find his music on itunes, and visit his official website, for videos, music, pics and more.
