In Memoriam: Claudia J. Alexander (1959–2015) Research Scientist, Ph.D
Claudia J. Alexander (1959–2015), Ph.D. was a research scientist specializing in geophysics and planetary science.
The story of Claudia Alexander caught my attention. Her image has been circulating around Facebook with the caption that no news outlet has reported on her death.
Claudia Alexander : Pioneer
Well, her story won’t go unnoticed to our Unheard Voices readers as we bring attention to pioneers in the Black community who have made or making a difference.
Claudia’s story is magnificent as she earned a Ph.D. in geophysics and planetary science. As we know Black people are underrepresented in science. So to me, Claudia achieved the ultimate success and beyond.
Ms. Alexander passed away on July 11, 2015 from breast cancer and we wanted to memorialize her on the website.
