Bills’ Dion Dawkins uplifts children with “Shnow Day” initiative
Dion Dawkins’ “Shnow Day” initiative is supported not only by his Dion’s Dreamers foundation but also through a dedicated GoFundMe campaign, which allows fans and community members to contribute directly to his mission.
BUFFALO, N.Y. — Buffalo Bills offensive tackle Dion Dawkins continues to uplift Western New York students through his “Shnow Day” program, now bolstered by a GoFundMe campaign that invites fans nationwide to join his cause.
About Dion Dawkins “Shnow Day”
This season, Dawkins and Dion’s Dreamers launched “Shnow Day” to provide classrooms with all-expenses-paid field trips. More than 450 applications poured in, and Dawkins selected four schools for outings that combined education, enrichment and fun.”
Field Trips That Inspire
The “Shnow Day” initiative provides students with all-expenses-paid educational field trips designed to spark curiosity and joy. Each outing blends hands-on learning with enrichment activities, giving children opportunities to explore new environments and experiences.
Every trip includes transportation, meals, t-shirts and interactive sessions that encourage discovery and teamwork. Dawkins personally attends, ensuring students feel celebrated, supported and connected to their community.
GoFundMe Extends Reach for Dion Dawkins’ “Shnow Day”
To sustain and expand “Shnow Day,” Dawkins launched a GoFundMe campaign through Dion’s Dreamers. Contributions help cover costs for transportation, admission, meals and enrichment activities. The campaign complements the NFLPA’s $10,000 donation to the Edward Charles Foundation, creating multiple avenues for community support.
Fans can make tax-deductible donations that directly fund future “Shnow Day” experiences, ensuring more classrooms benefit from Dawkins’ vision.
Dawkins’ Commitment
“Once you take a step into the community, becoming available to help and putting your energy towards making something better, the win is created,” Dawkins said.
He added, “We are all winners, and I’m honored to stand by my dawgs in the community to continue to make the cities surrounding our homes and our football teams better.”
Looking Ahead
Dawkins’ recognition as NFLPA Community MVP for Week 10 makes him eligible for the Alan Page Community Award, which includes an additional $100,000 donation. The GoFundMe campaign, Dion’s Dreamers foundation and NFLPA support position ‘Shnow Day’ to grow and reach even more students.”
