LOS ANGELES — OWN is adding a new twist to its relationship lineup with “Put a Ring on It: Cheathab,” a high‑stakes spinoff of its hit series Put A Ring on It, premiering Friday, July 31 at 9 p.m. ET/PT. The series will then move to its regular 8 p.m. slot on Aug. 14.
Couples Confront Infidelity Inside the ‘Cheathab House’
The new series follows three long‑term couples whose relationships have been shaken by cheating. OWN says the couples will move into the Miami‑based “Cheathab House,” where they’ll confront trust issues, jealousy and unresolved wounds that threaten their future.
“OWN has long embraced relationship programming centered on love, growth and emotional truth,” said Tina Perry, president of OWN. She called the new series “supercharged with a bold new lens on love,” exploring what happens when both partners have crossed the line.
Dr. Stacii Jae Johnson Leads the Experiment on “Put a Ring on It: Cheathab”
Relationship coach Dr. Stacii Jae Johnson guides the couples through weekly dates, workshops and accountability exercises. A bestselling author and founder of “I Want a Good Man University”, Dr. Stacii is known for her direct, compassionate approach to modern love.
Each couple must date other people, including former flings and past love interests, to confront old feelings and new temptations. At the end of the experiment, they must decide whether to rebuild trust and “put a ring on it,” or walk away for good.
Meet the Couples on Put a Ring on It: Cheathab
Dominique & Travis
Dominique and Travis built a passionate long‑distance romance, but trust collapsed after Travis admitted to a brief Vegas fling. She wants commitment; he wants freedom from suspicion. Their future depends on whether they can rebuild honesty.
Mia & Jarron
Mia and Jarron met on Facebook in 2022 and bonded over faith and late‑night talks. Their relationship fractured after Mia discovered Jarron had been texting and sleeping with other women. She later sought comfort from one of his friends, deepening the rift. Both must decide whether accountability can save their relationship.
Mi‑Mi & Joshua
Mi‑Mi and Joshua fell in love quickly but struggled after both reconnected with exes. Joshua has proposed twice, once at Walmart, but Mi‑Mi refuses to say yes until trust is restored. Their future hangs on honesty and repair.
Put a Ring on It: Cheathab is produced by Will Packer Media and Blink49 Studios.
