A $1 million reward fund for credible information and evidence in the death of 18‑year‑old Nolan Wells has been launched by rapper Willie D through UniteGive. He said the fund is designed to push anyone with firsthand knowledge to come forward and help break the silence surrounding the case.
Justice for Nolan Wells Reward Fund YouTube‑A‑Thon drives $300,000 surge
The Justice for Nolan Wells Reward Fund surged past $300,000 over the weekend, driven by a 12‑hour YouTube‑A‑Thon hosted by the Geto Boys legend. More than 20 content creators joined the October 3 livestream, which focused entirely on finding answers in Wells’ disputed death.
Willie D said the effort aims to create a strong incentive for anyone holding credible, verifiable evidence. He stressed that the campaign is “bigger than a fundraiser” and meant to encourage someone with real information to step forward.
Creators rally behind the Wells family
Entrepreneurs, activists and high‑impact voices participated, including Farrah Gray, Jeanetta Brantley, Dr. Boyce Watkins, Judge Carlos Moore, and others. They used their platforms to amplify the case and highlight the family’s need for answers. Supporters said Willie D’s involvement carries weight because of his decades‑long cultural influence.
Goal set at $1 million
Although the fund passed $300,000, Willie D remains steadfast that the goal is $1 million. He believes a larger reward could motivate someone with key information to take the risk of coming forward. The reward is tied to verifiable evidence that leads to a conviction, not rumors or speculation.
“We’re trying to create an incentive strong enough that if somebody is sitting on credible information about what happened to Nolan, they have another reason to come forward,” Willie D said.
“More than $300,000 is a powerful start, but our goal is $1 million, so we’re not stopping here.”
Organizers confirmed that a second YouTube‑A‑Thon is already in the works. They expect more creators and celebrities to join the next event, which they believe will push the fund closer to the million‑dollar target.
Community‑driven push for justice
Supporters say the campaign represents a new approach to community‑driven justice. They argue that the Wells family deserves clear answers. Moreover, that the reward fund could help break the silence surrounding the case. The fund remains open for contributions as organizers prepare the next phase of the effort.
